Syllabus
Goal
1.
Understand the application, organization, and implementation of computer networks
2.
Understand the analytic methods for computer networks
3.
Be able to customize computer networks according to the requirements
Grading
Paper review: 20%

Read (at least) 5 papers in one area, write a survey to summarize them.
◦
Submit the survey in week 17.
◦
Candidate reading list is below; you have the freedom to choose, but confirm with the instructor.

A good way is starting from one paper in the reading list below, searching for and choosing from its followers, and summarizing how people evolve the area.
In-class Discussion: 10%
Research Project: 50%

Decide your project in week 2 or 3
◦
Suggest Individual Projects; If you choose a group project, explain your roles and duties in the beginning.

One presentation about your course project plan, in week 1-15
◦
One final project presentation, in week 16

Submit your project and report in week 18
